4-string electric bass Elrick e-Volition Bass
Twenty years ago, Cort® joined forces with the world-famous Luthier Rob Elrick, from Elrick Bass Guitars®, and developed a Cort® version of the "Elrick E-Vollution Bass", which became popular with the most experienced bass players. Now, for its 30th anniversary, Elrick Bass Guitars® has partnered again with Cort® to launch the new Cort® Elrick NJS bass. The NJS, abbreviation for New Jazz Standard, are modern J-Bass style basses with unique features such as Angled Clavijero and 24 frets with zero fret, a heelless body design with extended access to the treble and pickups. VOICED TONE VTB-ST with Bartolini® preamp. Appreciated by many bass players, both beginners and experienced, over the years, the innovative design and excellent performance of the NJS bass will certainly satisfy fans of high-end bass.
The alder body provides a perfectly balanced sound, while slightly enhancing the sharp means. It is one of the most suitable tonal woods for solid body bass from the main bass manufacturers since the 1950s.
The new Single-Coil Voiced Tone VTB-ST pickups perfectly complement the big, robust sound of bass with modern clarity, transparency and vintage warmth while eliminating noise with its buzz cancellation design.
The same specially designed Bartolini® preamplifier that is installed on the original Elrick NJS manufactured in the USA is equipped with a 3-band EQ, 2-way push/pull media selection, and an active push/pull bypass for A variety of combinations and manipulations of tones.
The solid Metalcraft M bridge, of great mass, was developed prioritizing ease of use and greater tone transfer. Especially adjusted for Elrick NJS, the bridge allows for the loading of the strings from the back, making it easier to use, as well as greater tuning stability and precise sound. Another great improvement in tone transfer is the deep individual grooves that hold the seals firmly, preventing unwanted movements and allowing the vibrations of the strings to be transmitted correctly to the body. The Metalcraft M4 and M5 now offer a 19mm (0.750") string spacing for the 4-string M4 and 18mm (0.708") for the 5-string M5.
