Allen & Heath SQ-5 is a professional 48-channel, 36-bus and 17-fader digital console designed for live sound, corporate events, audiovisual installations, places of worship and demanding productions.
Its 96 kHz FPGA XCVI engine offers high-resolution audio and ultra-low latency of less than 0.7 ms. It integrates 16 pre-amplifiers, DEEP processing for preamp and compressor emulations, 8 stereo effects engines with dedicated returns, and the RackExtra FX library.
The SQ-5 incorporates 12 more LR stereo mixes, 3 stereo arrays, automatic microphone mixing (AMM), 7-inch touchscreen, 8 assignable softkeys and 6 layers of faders for flexible control. Its Slink port allows you to expand the system up to 48 microphone inputs through compatible expanders and link the console with other Allen & Heath systems.
For recording and production, it has SQ-Drive for direct multitrack recording at 96 kHz or stereo on USB drives, plus a 32 × 32 USB audio interface that is compatible with Core Audio and ASIO, with MIDI and DAW control. It also includes 64-channel network audio port, AES output, chromatic measurement, built-in LED lighting, and 19-inch rack-mount compatible format.
